Well it’s a fast beater so I don’t think they just used what they had laying on their assembly table.

According to posts in WUS which pointed me to CaliberCorner this is a DG2813 which is a chinese modification to the Miyota 8215 (if there has to be a copy they started from rather than them having original design).

What you may see listed as an ETA 2813 clone, is not actually an ETA clone at all. In fact, there is not an ETA 2813 to clone. It is also not an ETA 2824-2 clone. The caliber 2813 is closer to being a Miyota 8215 clone, although there are some notable differences. Caliber 2813

Thanks, knew it was gonna be a knockoff/modification of a current caliber. And as in the case of many online watch articles, the comments were as interesting to read as the information.

Picked this up the other day. I knew of Technos but not much on detail. They had some interesting models in the 60s and 70s, among them a Polaris which I fancy partly because the name is quite fitting for the time.

This is a model I hadn't seen before, but as soon as I saw 36000bph I was hooked! The movement is an ETA 2832 which is something Zenith used as Cal 346. Quick and dirty photo below from yesterday
