No special occasion just happy to still be above ground. What's the occasion?

That works! No special occasion just happy to still be above ground.
When did they switch over from the Doxa branding to having Synchron on the dial?#623/1000…being a micro brand any number other than 1 really doesn’t really mean much and even then…we’ll, it’s a micro brand.
I was introduced to Doxa on this forum as well as to the launch of Synchron Ice Diver. Liked it, including the 68 hr reserve. Pulled the trigger at the very last moment, that same day Synchron announced the Ice Diver to have been sold out. It is better in real life than in the photos (I’m not talking about my amateur crap job). My middle son, who is not into watches expressed an interest in the Ice Diver. Who knows, may be it will be his first watch and a start of something wonderful

Not pushing either of you on this, but he may start to take note of mods at some point.#623/1000…being a micro brand any number other than 1 really doesn’t really mean much and even then…we’ll, it’s a micro brand.

From Wikipedia: "Between 1968 and 1978 DOXA became part of Synchron S.A. In 1978 DOXA S.A. was acquired by Aubrey Frères S.A. and then was sold to the Jenny family in 1997. In 2002 Doxa introduced re-editions of its watches and timepieces in limited quantities."When did they switch over from the Doxa branding to having Synchron on the dial?
Correct. No direct affiliation anymore. From Wikipedia: "Between 1968 and 1978 DOXA became part of Synchron S.A. 20 degrees isn't that cold.
Fahrenheit. Not severely cold but cold nevertheless.20 degrees isn't that cold.
Just a minute....is that Fahrenheit ?... minus 7 degrees Celsius ?....Shit, yes that's cold !
Citizen has quickly become my #3 favorite watch brand. There’s so much to love about it. Yours has a beautiful beige seconds hand, and the day-date complication I love.
@wvclockdoc OK Doc, I did some quick research and I believe the movement in that Ingersoll I posted the other day is a Ronda 1217-21. That's a 17-jewel, as the dial notes and also has the "quickset by reverse setting". The time period also fits, as I figure the watch to be early/mid 70s.Interesting. I’d be interested to see the movement in that gem!
Most of the Ronda mechanical and automatic movements were jewelled pin lever movements. At least that’s what I’ve encountered.@wvclockdoc OK Doc, I did some quick research and I believe the movement in that Ingersoll I posted the other day is a Ronda 1217-21. In the remarks area, Roland does note pin-lever escapementMost of the Ronda mechanical and automatic movements were jewelled pin lever movements. At least that’s what I’ve encountered.
